AC Shadows Reveals Unexpected Attack on Titan Collaboration for Holiday Season

In a surprising partnership that challenges usual forecasts, Ubisoft has announced an digital crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected Thanksgiving event continues from November 25 through December 22, including complimentary additional story content for Shadows players.

Mysterious Adventure Uncovered

According to the official statement, "An unusual meeting pulls protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh adventure, where whispers of forbidden rituals and terrifying transformations resonate through the obscurity." The plot features a "unusually attired woman named Ada" who tasks the pair with journeying into the Crystal Cave—a key location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her ally from a hidden sect.

The mission focuses on "bizarre experiments and a monstrous enemy" and is open to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.

Iconic Settings and Changes

The teaser highlights the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was previously where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The teaser concludes with a powerful moment showing a character, likely the captive, changing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Special Rewards and Bonus Material

Players who finish the adventure will acquire an unique katana alongside numerous items concealed throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also includes in-store Attack on Titan item packs, including:

This patch also brings the game's latest free story content, titled "The Enigma." True to its name, "The Mystery" also contains a fresh environmental puzzle that may eventually shed light on some unanswered questions from the main storyline.
